Choosing Leaders

From Octavia E. Butler's Parable of the Talents, a novel I have yet to read, but is in my collection. I think it's a great quote and quite timely. What do you think?

"Choose your leaders with wisdom and forethought.
To be led by a coward is to be controlled by all that the coward fears.
To be led by a fool is to be led by the opportunists who control the fool.
To be led by a thief is to offer up your most precious treasures to be stolen.
To be led by a liar is to ask to be told lies.
To be led by a tyrant is to sell yourself and those you love into slavery."

Hey, Fred.

This has nothing to do with nothing. But I really need an update on Braided-ponytail stalker man.

great quote, yes however decent, honest, brave etc., generally do not describe politicians. As much as I liked Clinton he was still a liar and morally inept. in a perfect world, Ms.Butler's quote would work perfectly, in reality it is a bunch of nothing.

You should read the book (books) and see what she predicted. There are 2 books in the Parable series.

So very timely. So amazingly timely! One cannot simply read these words without stopping to think about what is going on today whether it is local or national, even personal when you think about it.
