Reconsider Columbus Day
I'm surprised people still celebrate Columbus Day, but they do. Saw this great video clip, Reconsider Columbus Day, which advocates for the development of an Indigenous People's holiday instead. Good points! fs
When I was at Stanford, all the students of color would travel with the Native American students and take over Alcatraz - which was promised Native American land. We would take the 4am ferry and they would have a huge Pow Wow. It was a great way to celebrate the day.
